Inaugural Paddle
Well..it may have been a tad nippy, but Cultus couldn't have bee more perfect. Not even a ripple. The ripples in the first picture were actually created by us walking on the dock. That's how amazing it was. No snow, no rain, a slight breeze. I smartly brought my camera to capture the ladies bringing the boat over from the other side of the lake. About 5 or 6 of our team joined in with Spirit Abreast, the breast cancer survivor team, to help paddle the boat over. Timing isn't all that great in this shot, but..the reflection was so gorgeous that I had to post it! Next Saturday is actually our first official practice, as this was just a time to have new people come out and give the sport a try along side some of us veterans! Paddling ended with hot chocolate and snacks! And of course a team meeting! Looking like it's going to be a really great season! Let's see how "Captain Krista" can handle the year..lol

Wow - I had almost forgotten how much I love Cultas Lake! I am actually getting a little misty looking at it. Thanks for the beautiful pics!
I had forgotton that you're a Chilliwacker at heart! lol Well, you're old stomping grounds are my current ones! I spend alot of time practicing up there! Hopefully, this summer, I'll spend more time there just hanging out and swimming..not just working my tail off! lol And you're welcome for the pics!
I feeling a little jealous, as I am a kayaker, and I have to wait for quite a while longer before the lake is usable.
lol Tis the season here! Heck, some people do it year round! But..I'm not THAT hard core! Last year, I wanted to buy a kayak..but not for the typical reasons..I thought it would look cute on my car! hehe Plus, I'd like to get into it..it's good for cross training. So..maybe one day!
