7 ladies and a baby

Mom, Jen, Nicole and Kennedy flew down on Wednesday, last week, so that we could spend an all girls long weekend in Vancouver. They shacked up at my place for a couple of days, getting in some Target therapy, and visiting, while I finished off a week of night shifts and dragon boat practices before we went to Richmond for 3 nights. As a matter of fact..Jen and Nicole gave dragon boating a whirl! And the did a great job! Must be in the genes..Anyhow, here are a few pictures of our weekend:

Kennedy's first dip in BC waters..and she really liked it!
Kennedy's teeny toes squished in between her mama's feet
Jen and Nicole on the dragon boat..no turning back now, girls!

And here we go! They picked it up pretty fast!
Mom stayed on shore with Kennedy, so she did some "dry land" paddling instead! One of our many activities of the weekend was spending some time out at Spanish Banks in Vancouver. Of course, we had to do some photo shoots! Some random Asian fella took this one for us..4 generations..and no, the matching outfits were NOT planned! LOL
Grandma and her daughters..it's official..craziness runs in the family..the HARLOW family!3 sisters
Kennedy and Auntie Krista...and no I didn't do my hair lopsided..it was a bit windy!Mommy and Kennedy enjoying the sun, fun and beach!

Jen and Nicole skip "gaily" to the oceanDipping toes in the Pacific
So happy to be on holidays, in Vancouver, at the beach and with good company, that they couldn't contain their excitement!Nicole heard these ice cream trucks the whole time we were there..and then, after our dinner, she heard them in the distance (about 30 seconds before anyone else..like a moth to a flame..) and went running to the road to wait for her ice cream man to come to her. Except he kept driving..
And driving..but Nicole's screams eventually stopped the truck and she got her ice cream..
She was thrilled until she opened the package only to discover that her ice cream was crushed..poor Nicole. She never did like the broken foods...they always had to be perfect! But..she's a big girl now, so she ate it. But I'm sure it would have tasted better if it wasn't all squished.

Such very lovely ladies in the Harlow family. What a rich heritage to bring four generations together. Looks like you all had loads of fun!
